FALLOUT | A WAR FILM FESTIVAL
The purpose of this project was to develop a campaign to promote a war film festival. The campaign included a poster, postcard, website, event schedule, and DVD case. Each piece of the campaign had to include the same basic design elements, but be diverse in its composition and layout. It was important to show the wide variety of the design possiblities within the campaign. The campaign was also aimed to visually represent the ten war films that were the focus of the festival. As part of the design concept, a festival name and content for the various pieces had to be created.
The overall campaign represents the aftermath and destruction of war. Fallout is the name given to the campaign and represents the military command to disperse, an overall negative connotation, and a sense of something that is damaged or falling apart.
